Staying at Waterfall Mountain

Your accommodation is a luxury Lotus Belle tent with a queen size bed with a cosy fire for those cooler evenings, a full bathroom and B.B.Q kitchen. We are family friendly, unique accommodation located in rural New Zealand. Upon request we can set up 2 x extra single beds inside the tent.

Check in time: After 2.00pm, to be arranged before arrival as we will meet you at the gate.
Check out time: 10.00am

True seclusion

No one lives on the site. Your hosts Sonia & Mac will be meeting you at the gate on arrival – so it’s important you let us know in advance when to expect you. There is no mobile phone reception at the location, please confirm your arrival time before you arrive. You won’t be able to phone out once you are there – nor can we receive calls if we are on site.

If you will be arriving after dark, it’s recommended you bring a torch as there is no power at the site. If you are planning a very late arrival – please let us know and we can arrange a lockbox with code for you.

Eating and Drinking

We have a full kitchen with a BBQ for cooking and a chilly bin for storing your food in (bring some ice if required). We have a range of pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups cutlery and cooking utensils. Tea, Coffee and Sugar are complimentary for use with a Kettle heated on the BBQ (just bring your own milk).

The following options are available during your stay (additional charges apply). Simply add to your booking when you complete the reservation process.

Continental Breakfast – $22 per person/per day
Includes cereal, fruit, juice, toast & condiments

You-Cook Breakfast – $28 per person/per day
May include: Bacon, eggs, hashbrown, baked beans, spaghetti, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast & juice. Subject to availability. All ingredients supplied on arrival for you to cook.

Anti-pasto Platter + complimentary Wine – $80
Includes a selection of cheeses, crackers, cold cut meats seasonal fruit and a bottle of wine.

With Opotiki only 10 minutes away you have access to rivers, streams & beaches!

Our beaches are popular for fishing/surfcasting & charter fishing trips are accessible nearby.

The Motu River is just a short drive and it’s popular for kayaking, jet boating & trout fishing.

The Motu cycle trail goes just past our gate! We are surrounded by stunning native bush with plentiful options for nature walks, hiking and tramping.
